Presentation on the History of Jefferson Barracks

In honor of Pearl Harbor day, LSC hosted historian and author Maj. (Ret.) Art Schuermann to our monthly Lunch N Learn on December 7.  We hosted over 75 guests to lunch followed by a presentation on the history of Jefferson Barracks.  He spoke about interesting stories about Jefferson Barracks that dated from 1826 to the present time.  We ended with questions and book signing.

This presentation was a nice addition to the Fantastic 16th Annual Veterans Day Ceremony LSC hosted under the direction of the Administrator Samantha Davis on 11-11-11.  LSC presented 36 awards to our community residents!  Presentations from CDR Lawrence Walworth, USN, Chaplain David Poland, Michael Spurgeon (St Charles City Administrator), Laurie Feldman (St Charles City Council), and USAF Junior ROTC -Normandy Senior High Color Guard.
